Our objective is to promote, develop and encourage the study of the game as a significant international athletic and popular social institution, and to establish an accurate historical account of hockey through the years.

The 2017 Fall Meeting of the Society for International Hockey Research will take place in the Montréal, Québec, on the weekend of November 24-26. The weekend has been chosen to coincide with the centennial of the National Hockey League, which was founded on November 26, 1917, at Montréal's Windsor Hotel.
